Behaviour Support for NDIS
Positive Behaviour Support is an evidence-based approach to support children and adults who use challenging behaviour. As required, behaviour support practitioners at Positive Moods can deliver positive behaviour support to NDIS participants and their carers.
Specialist Behaviour Intervention Support
Positive Moods’ behaviour support practitioners can provide individual and highly specialised intensive support interventions to NDIS participants. These address significantly harmful or persistent behaviours of concern identified in some NDIS participants. We also offer Early Childhood Interventions
Positive Behaviour Support Plan
Our behaviour support practitioners can work in collaboration with a participant’s carer and relevant stakeholders to develop a customised Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP) that may include the temporary use of restrictive practices if needed, with the intention of minimising these over time.
Training in Behaviour Management
The extension of the behaviour support plans is training. Our behaviour support therapists run sessions for key stakeholders on the behaviour management strategies developed in the Positive Behaviour Support Plan. This training will be specific to the participant’s needs and the stakeholders interaction with them.
