Priscila
Priscila is a dedicated behaviour support practitioner who approaches her work empathetically and is deeply committed to inclusion. Passionate about supporting children, teenagers, and families, she has a special interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Perinatal Mental Health, and trauma-informed care. Priscila believes in creating a safe, collaborative environment where participants and their families feel heard, valued, and empowered.
Priscila utilises evidence-based techniques in an integrated approach that encompasses the uniqueness of each individual, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and strengths-based approaches alongside family-centred care. With extensive experience in residential mental health and youth work, NDIS support coordination, and counselling, she combines patience with a proactive approach to help participants achieve long-term outcomes.
Holding a Bachelor of Psychological Science and Counselling, Priscila is a PACFA Registered Counsellor with additional certifications in trauma awareness, youth mental health first aid, and perinatal mental health. Her comprehensive background supports her personalised and practical approach to behaviour support.
Priscila is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian, ensuring participants can communicate comfortably in their preferred language. She is available to support participants in South Brisbane and is passionate about fostering positive change in the lives of those she works with.
