Transport

However, the use of transport assistance has limitations and the travelling arrangement by the participant’s service providers will not be covered.

To assure that the participant's essential daily needs are acquired, consumables will be provided by the NDIS. Through this, the participants can acquire essential products that can help them with their condition such as continence aids and wholesome goods.

Home Modifications

NDIS also considers that home modifications will be essential for some cases, to suit the participant's needs, goals, and unique condition. Assistive Technology

Who are eligible for NDIS funding?

Citizens and Residents of Darwin who require NDIS funding must meet the eligibility criteria set by the NDIS which are the following:

  • Age between 7 and 65 years old

  • Residents and Citizens of Australia

  • Permanent Visa holders

  • Protected Special Category Visa holders

  • In need of support from other individuals due to a permanent and significant disability

  • Utilises special equipment due to a permanent and significant disability

  • Requires support now to reduce the demands in the future
