Individuals who are suffering from permanent and significant disabilities will have difficulties going through their daily lives. Fortunately, the Australian Government has established the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to provide support to Australians living with disabilities, which aims to improve their health condition and quality of life. Today, NDIS has helped over 400,000 Australians and about 150,000 of them are new participants with a plan tailored according to their needs, goals, and unique condition. Since the support and funding provided by the NDIS are proven effective to help individuals living with disabilities, the NDIS has introduced NDIS Assessments to improve the support plan where the citizens and residents of Ipswich will greatly benefit.

Positive Moods brings NDIS Assessments to the citizens and residents of Ipswich to assist in gathering key information that can help in creating the NDIS support plan. NDIS Assessments can help all eligible NDIS participants, to gather evidence in proving the status of their disability. Also, NDIS Assessments can help in creating flexible plans that can help achieve their goals.

What is NDIS Assessment?

NDIS Assessments are evidence-based and internationally-recognised tests used to gather key information about the participant's current condition that can confirm their eligibility for NDIS funding, and also assist in increasing the NDIS funding based on the participants changing condition no matter what the circumstances. With the NDIS Assessments, the participants can gather up-to-date information in creating a flexible support plan.

NDIS Assessments provide an overview of the participant’s health condition that can help the healthcare professionals to create a support plan based on how they perform daily tasks such as participating in their home, school, workplace, and community. When administering NDIS Assessments, the participant’s intelligence is measured rather than their disability. NDIS Assessments also make sure that the support plan provided to the participants is fair, favourable, and tailored based on their needs, goals, and unique condition.

How to administer NDIS Assessments?

To assure that the NDIS support plan is provided fairly, NDIS Assessments are used to measure the participant’s health condition to confirm their eligibility for support. Going through NDIS Assessments, participants and applicants of ages 7 years old and above are advised to go through an independent assessment based on their condition and age. During the planning process and administration of the therapy, NDIS Assessments can assist in identifying particular changes in the participant’s life such as acquiring a new job, finishing school, or moving out of the house to make significant changes on the support plan.

Furthermore, healthcare professionals at Positive Moods will work closely with the participants, their families, and carers to assist them on the NDIS Assessments process. Partaking in NDIS Assessments can help the participants with the financial costs of going through clinical assessments to provide evidence regarding their functional capacity, and also assist in gathering key information that is beneficial in planning and revising the support plan.

What are the NDIS Assessments Tools?

NDIS aims to improve the participant's health condition and quality of life. Thus, the Assessment Tools offered by the NDIS are evidence-based and internationally-recognised to assist the healthcare professionals in assessing the health condition of the participants to create a tailored support plan. All of the assessment tools are designed according to the participant's ages to measure their intelligence, rather than their condition.
